THE PEGASUS DIFFERENCE
We pride ourselves on being pioneers of the biggest cannabis pheno-hunt in Michigan, creating multiple proprietary strains that simply don’t exist anywhere else. We searched through 60 plants within 12 harvested strains to find those with the most exceptional qualities, including potency, resin production, weight, aroma and flavor. It’s a painstaking selection process that takes a minimum of three months and yields the best quality – what we call the Ferrari of cannabis. Where most farms will test, develop and breed the best plant from just one proprietary clone, Pegasus goes infinitely further to develop new strains. Our dedicated master cultivators are expert artisans who are passionate about their craft and know it deeply. We clone all our products and from those clones, breed and pollinate other flowers in a delicately refined process to develop genetic profiles that articulate an emotional experience. We look at the attributes and genetic profiles, know what we want to be dominant, fold them and breed them to create our Pegasus cuts and proprietary strains – our Pegasus Genetics. Sure, it takes about 18 months to do it well, but that meticulous research and development ensures we have the best cut and unsurpassed quality you’ll recognize over and over again. As it says on our facility door, “Quality is not an act, it is a habit.” We agree, Aristotle.
WHY MICHIGAN
Of all the places we considered in the U.S., we were compelled to plant roots in Michigan. Here, we discovered untouched land, clean air, recreational sports, crystal-clear water, down-to-earth locals and matching values. It was important that our business become a part of the community, and thus, our location had to coincide with Pegasus’ mission to preserve and protect the environment, foster relationships, source the best talent and contribute to our adopted home’s economic growth. For more than a century, Michiganders have been proud innovators, explorers and discoverers. They’ve been careful caregivers of their land and fierce protectors of small businesses, always supporting entrepreneurs’ vision to survive and thrive. OUR FARM
Our 15,000 square-foot cultivation facility on 29-acres is a cannabis utopia worthy of mythical Greek gods. We start with a space that emulates a surgeon’s theater for its pure setting, where climate, sunlight, temperature, CO2, humidity and water quality are expertly controlled to be in perfect harmony. Imagine a world that exists without factories or pollution and you’ll envision the Pegasus farm, where cannabis thrives in a pure environment with zero outside contamination. Our plants grow in imported coconut soil chosen for its antimicrobial properties, are fed only organic nutrients and thrive holistically using nature’s beneficial elements for optimal growth and cultivation. We harvest weekly and have turned drying and curing into a proprietary art form for cannabis that is unmatched in its flavor, expression and consistency
